Ethical behaviour provides the foundation of trust that supports the reputation of each CBV, and of the CICBV as a profession.  Expectations are changing, and CBVs need to refresh their thinking on what is appropriate when preparing their valuations, dealing with clients, lawyers and courts, and presenting evidence.  Accordingly, this session will cover:

  • New ethics expectations for professionals, particularly for CBVs.
  • Common ethics issues faced by CBVs.
  • Lessons learned from recent ethics cases.
  • New expectations and legalities in the presentation of evidence.
